Gross weight of assembled watch 79.4 dwt (123.5 g). A very rare and historic piece, Constant Piguet was granted Swiss patent number 11948 on March 20, 1896 for his four hammer carillon watch. Mvt: Running, inconsistent repeat function with strikings of hours, quarters, and minutes that are occasionally inaccurate, the gongs have been lead solder repaired in two places which has yielded a dull and muffled tone, overhaul needed, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, few micro-fine scratches; flawless dial; excellent hands, light oxide to the minute; case shows light wear, scattered fine scratches and profuse micro-fine scratches, some scattered dings to rear and band, few slight dings to front; tight bow, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.
